• The 2010 Ford Fusion is a tough competitor, winning awards and giving the foreign competitors a run for their money.  Dropping their jaws and scratching their heads about the excellent fuel economy.  It ranks 3 out of 21 Affordable Midsize Cars, the Fusion Hybrid ranks in the first place and the Mercury Milan is second.  The Toyota Pruis ranks fourth followed by the Buick Lacrosse.  The Ford Fusion has also won the Motor Trend’s Coveted Car of the Year, Consumer Report Recommendation and Consumer Guide Best Buy.  Ford has called the 2010 model ” A refresh of 2009 not a redesign”.  The exterior has been updated but more improvements of this vehicle has come on the inside.  This car is an economical sedan that excites you instead of feeling dreary when you drive it.  Ford Fusion’s has a variety of models which are the base model S, the upmarket SE, the luxurious SEL, the sports model and the Hybrid.  It drives like a new car, quiet and smooth.  It has a balanced ride and sporty enough to go into corners was what one enthusiast was quoted. Driving the Cincinnati Ford Dealers and the Tarboro Ford Dealer to keep up with this fast selling car.

The better model of the Ford Fusion is of course, the sport.  Its was stamped with the 263 Horsepower, 3.5 L Duratec, joined with a Select Shift six speed automatic.  This transmission is full manual control and super tuned suspension.  The dual exhausts, front and rear fascia treatments, rocker panels and the rear wing.  This Sport does have the same EPA rating as the 3.0L although it does not have the flex fuel engine.  This option is awesome for the consumers that need a family car but want something with a little spunk.

The fuel economy on the standard is 23 city/34 highway, now the Hybrid is an awesome 41 city/36 highway and the sport model is 18 city/27 highway.  Now either model has a reasonable fuel economy, being the Hybrid is the best, but even the sport model has fuel economy in mind.  Either choice on this Fusion, its not going to put a dent into your wallet.
