The new 2011 Ford Mustang, which can be purchased at Minnesota Ford Dealers, was ranked number 1 out of 4 Muscle Cars. The Mustang has a new engine, a 3.7 liter V6 that generates 305 horsepower at 6,500 rpm. and 280 pound feet of torque at 4,250. A six speed manual transmission comes standard but an automatic is available.
The Mustang from Ford Dealers AL, comes with a pretty basic protection package. It consists of three years or 36,000 mile basic warranty and powertrain and roadside assistance is offered for five year or 60,000 mile warranty. The Ford Mustang which can also be purchased at Ford Salinas, received high rankings on all crash tests. They received five stars in front and side impacts as well as rollover tests. The Mustang is also equipped with many safety features. Some of them include; dual stage front airbags, front seat side airbags, all speed traction control and Advancetrac Electronic Stability Control. This vehicle also features MyKey. MyKey is a system that was designed to help parents promote safe driving habits in their teens. The MyKey system does a number of things. Some include; limit top speed to 80 mph, disable the audio system when seat belts are not being used and it will also sound a persistent chime when the vehicle reaches 45, 55, and 65 mph.
Another Muscle Car to check out would be the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro. The Camaro was ranked number 2 out of 4. The Camaro LS, 1LT, and 2LT fe
ature a 3.6 liter V6 engine that generates 312 horsepower and 6,400 rpm and 278 pound feet of torque at 5,200 rpm.
The Camaro comes with a pretty nice protection package. It includes; three years or 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty and powertrain, roadside assistance and courtesy transportation are covered by five years or 100,000 miles. The Camaro also did very well on crash tests. They received four stars in frontal impact, five stars for driver side crashes and five stars for rollover ratings. It also comes equipped with alot of safety features. Some include; dual stage front and side impacts airbags for front seat occupants and head curtain side impact airbags for all passenger. Not to mention four wheel anti-lock brakes and stabilitrak electronic stability control with traction.
Both of these vehicles are nice vehicle to own. However, Ford out does Chevrolet just in safety features alone. You really can not beat the MyKey feature. It is designed to keep your teenagers safe while you are not in the vehicle. It is definatly a nice piece of mind during a stressful time.
