• Ford Motor Company looks to be in an upswing after making drastic changes to their business model.  A recent press release detailed Ford’s recent sales improvements over the past year, particularly among online vehicle shopping websites.   Ford has recently been performing better than GM, whose vehicles can be found at a Jersey City Chevrolet Dealer.  A report released by Jumpstart, a major automobile marketing and publishing network said that today Ford took over the leading spot among all automakers on Jumpstart’s 11 automobile websites, many of which offer local Boston Nissan Price Quotes.

Jumpstart’s network includes some of the most visited automobile websites in the world such as JD Power Autos,Vehix, Consumer Guide Automotive, Shopping.com Autos, Car and Driver and Road & Track, and more.  Ford made progress in May of 2010 when it went ahead of Chevy by 10 percent in sales, and now it is the number one most shopped and researched brand among Jumpstart’s websites.

Ford earned a net profit of $2.1 billion in April of 2010 and this result came in a year earlier than expected by Ford.  It also experienced a “positive cash flow” for 2010 thus far.   Ford experienced an increase of 30 percent in sales from January to May of 2010.  Some of the popular models include the Ford Focus, Ford Taurus, and Ford Fusion which have been selling well among market segments and challenging the top spots among competing automakers.

The NY Times has reported that Ford has had four consecutive quarters of profit, and it has its highest pretax operating profit in six years.  Another milestone is that Ford outsold GM in February of 2010, which it has not done in over 50 years except for some months in 1998 when GM workers went on strike.

Ford continues to develop competitive and technologically advanced vehicles.  With a new focus on environmentally friendly vehicles, new hybrid releases, and several new model revamps in 2010, Ford looks to continue to increase their profitability and emerge as a very strong competitor for the rest of 2010.
