The all new, 2011 Ford Fusion Hybrid, which can be purchased at Ford Dealer San Antonio, was ranked number 2 out of 18 Affordable Midsize Cars. It comes with a 2.5 liter four cylinder engine and an electric motor. Together they create 191 horsepower. It also comes with a 275-volt hybrid battery. The hybrid is estimated to get 41/36 mpg. city/highway.
Ford has given the Fusion Hybrid, which can also be found at Reading Ford Dealership are pretty basic protection package. It consists of three years or 36,000 mile basic warranty, powertrain and roadside assistance for five years or 60,000 miles and and eight year or 100,000 mile protection on all hybrid components. The 2011 model has yet to be crash tested, but the 2010 model, which can be purchased at Ford Dealer Tennessee, did very well. It received five stars in front driver, front passenger and side driver crash tests. The Fusion Hybrid also earned four stars in side rear passenger and rollover two wheel drive crash scores. The Fusion did however, earn five stars in four wheel drive rollover crash tests.
The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety named the Fusion Hybrid it’s “Top Safety Pick” for 2011. It also received it’s highest ranking of “Good” in front, side rollover and rear crash tests. The hybr
id also comes with a long list of safety features as well. Some of them include; dual front airbags, front seat side airbags, first and second row side curtain airbags, a tire pressure monitoring system along with electronic stability control.
There are two main features installed into the Fusion Hybrid that people are really talking about. The first would be the Smart Gauge with Ecoguide feature. This feature consists of two display screens on either side of a traditional speedometer. The driver can choose from one of four levels: Inform, Enlighten, Engage and Empower. Each setting lets you know information about fuel economy and trip data. On the other side is a screen that will grow leaves as you drive more efficiently. The second features would be Ford’s SYNC system. This system allows the driver to control Bluetooth-enabled devices such as cell phones or MP3 players using voice command.
