Ford Out Shines Chevy With Safety!

The new 2011 Ford Mustang, which can be purchased at Minnesota Ford Dealers, was ranked number 1 out of 4 Muscle Cars. The Mustang has a new engine, a 3.7 liter V6 that generates 305 horsepower at 6,500 rpm. and 280 pound feet of torque at 4,250. A six speed manual transmission comes standard but an automatic is available.

The Mustang from Ford Dealers AL, comes with a pretty basic protection package. It consists of three years or 36,000 mile basic warranty and powertrain and roadside assistance is offered for five year or 60,000 mile warranty. The Ford Mustang which can also be purchased at Ford Salinas, received high rankings on all crash tests. They received five stars in front and side impacts as well as rollover tests. The Mustang is also equipped with many safety features. Some of them include; dual stage front airbags, front seat side airbags, all speed traction control and Advancetrac Electronic Stability Control. This vehicle also features MyKey. MyKey is a system that was designed to help parents promote safe driving habits in their teens. The MyKey system does a number of things. Some include; limit top speed to 80 mph, disable the audio system when seat belts are not being used and it will also sound a persistent chime when the vehicle reaches 45, 55, and 65 mph.

Another Muscle Car to check out would be the 2011 Chevrolet Camaro. The Camaro was ranked number 2 out of 4. The Camaro LS, 1LT, and 2LT feature a 3.6 liter V6 engine that generates 312 horsepower and 6,400 rpm and 278 pound feet of torque at 5,200 rpm.

The Camaro comes with a pretty nice protection package. It includes; three years or 36,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty and powertrain, roadside assistance and courtesy transportation are covered by five years or 100,000 miles. The Camaro also did very well on crash tests. They received four stars in frontal impact, five stars for driver side crashes and five stars for rollover ratings. It also comes equipped with alot of safety features. Some include; dual stage front and side impacts airbags for front seat occupants and head curtain side impact airbags for all passenger. Not to mention four wheel anti-lock brakes and stabilitrak electronic stability control with traction.

Both of these vehicles are nice vehicle to own. However, Ford out does Chevrolet just in safety features alone. You really can not beat the MyKey feature. It is designed to keep your teenagers safe while you are not in the vehicle. It is definatly a nice piece of mind during a stressful time.

Let’s talk about the 2011 Ford Mustang. The Mustang ranked number 1 out 4 Muscle Cars. It is the only vehicle in its class that is equipped with more than 300 horsepower to net over 30mpg. The Mustang V6 also has a new engine. It is a 3.7 liter V6 that creates 305 horsepower at 6,500 rpm and 280 pound-feet of torque at ,4250. That’s a lot more horsepower and torque than what was in last year’s model, which could probably be purchased at any used Phoenix Volkswagen or at Bradenton Used Cars For Sale. Even though the 2011 Chevy Camaro, like the one’s found at Chattanooga Chevrolet, has a seven horsepower advantage, the Mustang offer’s many more safety features.

The 2011 Mustang has not yet been tested, but the 2010 model received five stars in front and side impacts as well as rollover tests. The vehicle is equipped with dual-stage front airbags, front seat side airbags, all speed traction control and Advance Trac electronic stability control. This vehicle also comes with a feature that I think all cars should come with. It is called MyKey. MyKey is designed for parents to help teach their teenagers safe driving habits. MyKey does a number of things. It will limit the top speed of the vehicle to 80 mph, it will also disable the audio system when seatbelts are not being used and it will sound a persistent chime when the vehicle’s speed hits 45, 55, and 65 mph. Pretty important feature I think if you are a parent with a driving teenager.

Ford also has a pretty good warranty package. They offer three year/36,000 mile basic warranty and five year/60,000 mile powertrain warranty, along with a five year/60,000 mile roadside assistance.

There were many more pros than cons that I found. US News states that this vehicle has a “powerful 305 horsepower base engine, best fuel economy in it’s class, more agile than muscle car rivals and that it has an attractive, retro design on the inside and out”. The only cons that were listed was that there was a slight visibility problem from the drivers seat and the back seat really wasn’t made for adults. But who can beat the MyKey feature? I know I will want it in my vehicle when my kids start to drive. It’s just a nice piece of mind.

The only complaint about the interior comes from back seat passengers who would love some more leg room. With a base price around $50,000, their complaints should be heard and remedied on future models. Engineers were able to improve the Shelby GT500’s fuel economy, and it now is estimated to get 22 mpg on the highway and 14 mpg around town. Those numbers make it fierce competition in its class. The driver may love just about everything about their new Mustang, but Ford missed the mark in providing accommodating and adjustable front bucket seats. Ford Unveils 2011 Mustang GT RTR Package;

Ford is releasing a new Mustang RTR Package that was designed and inspired by Vaughn Gittin Jr. Gittin Jr. is a respected and successful Formula Drift driver who uses a Monster Energy/Falken Tire Mustang GT. Previous year Mustang models may be found at a Missouri used cars dealer or at Greensboro used car lots. Gitten Jr. knows the Ford Mustang and its racing capabilities better than anyone, and the Mustang RTR was designed by him. The additions to the already powerful 2011 Mustang are sure to please any Mustang or racing enthusiast.

Some of the features of the Mustang RTR package include 19-inch wheels, Ford Racing Falken FK-452 tires, exclusive interior details and striping scheme, and more. Exterior features include an aluminum rear spoiler, a front chin spoiler with splitter, side splitters, and a rear diffuser. With these exterior add-ons, the car is much different looking than a 2011 Mustang.

The 2011 Mustang can definitely hold its own on a race track, but the feature and design additions by Gitten Jr. make the Mustang RTR even more fit for racing. The new trim package has a K&N air filter and tuning that adds 9 horsepower to the vehicle. It also features racing mufflers, a Ford Racing handling package, performance tuned dampers, and anti-roll bars.

The package will be available as an upgrade at selected dealerships. Patrick Rall of Examiner.com spoke with a representative of Ford Motor Company who said that the cost of upgrading the tires, suspension, brakes, wheels, and body has a price of $7895.

With the retail cost of the 2011 Mustang expected to be at $31,000, the total cost of the Mustang RTR is expected to be around $38,895. That’s not bad for a vehicle that features this many customized racing options and performance upgrades. A Mustang V6 package will also be available with these same options in late 2010.

Ford Motor Company has built an extremely wide variety of vehicles since its start in 1903 so it was pretty hard to compile a list of the 10 best Ford vehicles. Some of these vehicles you definitely won’t see while visiting your Cincinnati Ford Dealer because well, they aren’t manufactured. The best is judged upon if the vehicles earned a real advance in terms of engineering, design, capability, or acceptance.

1. We start off with the Model-T. It was produced from 1908 to 1927 and more than 16,500,000 were sold. Ford made it America’s first affordable car and opened the country for travel.

2. The Model A which was introduced in 1927 became very popular and was sold in a great number of body styles for a price that was between $385 – $570 and whose top speed was around 60 mph and the fuel economy was about 40 mpg.

3. The Thunderbird came about in 1955 as a response to the Corvette. This still remains a great classic since it was one of the first sporty personal luxury cars.

4. Ford shocked the sports-car world in 1966 by racing in the Le Mans with a GT40 which broke Ferrari’s string of championships. Eventually Cincinnati Ford Dealers began selling street-able versions of it.

5. In the ’60s the fierce Shelby Cobras were born. Ford definitely can take credit for the engine and drive-train of one of the world’s best sports cars.

6. After quite a few years the 1992 Taurus SHO emerged. A former owner said, “It’s great, police don’t notice, insurance and taxes are almost nothing!”

7. The 2010 Fusion Hybrid. This vehicle has won all kinds of awards because it has responsive handling, it’s fun to drive, and is available in a lot of configurations. This car is a state of the art hybrid and it’s reasonably price and has pretty good fuel economy.

8. The 2010 F-150, F-150s have been traversing the roadways since 1975 and is pretty much the best-loved truck in America. There is a lot of competition but Ford seems to outdo its rivals in most departments. Since 1948, the F-Series has sold over 30,000,000 vehicles which makes it the second-biggest seller of all time, Corolla being the first.

9. The 2011 Ford Mustang is a real improvement. Now with much better handling and performance, the 2011 offers new powertrains to keep its competitors hopping. The GT version is even hotter.

Ford has announced that it will be collaborating with automotive lifestyle magazine DUB and Roush Industries on the production of the new 2011 DUB Edition Ford Mustang which is based on the 2011 Mustang V6. The DUB Edition Mustang will be available as a convertible, coupe, or with Ford’s Glass Roof option.

Equipped with the 2011 Mustang’s 305-horsepower 3.7-liter V6 mated to a six-speed manual or automatic transmission, the special edition distinguishes itself with a unique front fascia and splitter, quarter-window louvers and a windshield banner, all from Roush, plus a DUB stripe package and 20-inch TIS wheels with Pirelli performance rubber. This is definitely one vehicle that will be hard for you to find at a Cincinnati Ford Dealer or even at a New Hampshire Ford Dealer.

However, the exterior color choices are limited to Black, Grabber Blue, Race Red, or Ingot Silver and each are paired with a black interior. The 2011 DUB Edition Ford Mustang will be on sale this fall and chances are they will be snatched up fast which is good news for Ford.

Ford has made news today with the Ford Mustang being fuel efficient. How sweet is that? For all the Mustang lovers not only is this hot rod sweet looking, its definitely conscious of fuel and our wallets. Ford has broke the records of the most fuel efficient Mustang ever but the first car to rock more than 300 horsepower with more than 30 mpg highway certified by the EPA. That’s right, you read it correctly, the official EPA rating for the 2011 Ford Mustang with 305 horsepower 3.7L V6 and available six-speed automatic transmission is rated 31 mpg highway and 19 mpg city. Now the standard six-speed automatic is rated 29 mpg highway and 19 mpg city.

The Ford Mustang is powered by a lightweight, all aluminum 3.7L dual overhead cam V6 that was designed to use advanced engineering to deliver power and fuel economy. The Twin Independent Variable Camshaft Timing adjusts the valvetrain in microseconds depending on the driving of the driver, even giving more of an engine efficiency. This depicts wisdom from the Ford engineering team that sets the standard. They carefully designed a six speed automatic transmission with precisely calibrated gear ratios and shift programs to maximize that the economy to still deliver the driving of high horsepower.

The engine was not the only improvement that Ford made for this Mustang, powertrain and the chassis design also contributes for exciting record breaking event. The New Electric Power Assist Steering eliminates the drag on an engine operated hydraulic power steering pump, both the transmissions, six speed transmission or automatic transmission allow lower cruising revs without sacrificing off line performance. The new front fascia, tire spats on the rear wheels, the modified underbody shields, a taller air dam and the added rear decklid seal are the aerodynamic changes that contribute to the fuel economy also.
