Lincoln’s MKZ Hybrid: Affordable and Luxurious

As consumers, we expect there to be differences in prices based on the product you are getting. We know that cars from Acura TL Portsmouth are going to cost more than their Honda counterpart. We also know that some of the services you get from Columbus Body Shop will cost more, but they will likely make our car look nicer than the less expensive options. So what do you do when there are two very similar cars with the exact same sticker price, but one has more to offer? Makes you a little confused, I’m sure!

The kicker in this situation is that they are offering the hybrid model for the same price as the traditional gas engine model; both cost $34,440. If you were at the grocery store and the hamburger was $2 per pound and the extra-lean hamburger was $2 per pound, you would think a mistake had been made. Ford and Lincoln want to show consumers that you can successfully mold luxury with hybrid technology, and still have an affordable product.

The 2011 Lincoln MKZ hybrid features all of the luxury as the gas model, but comes with better fuel efficiency. Drivers of the hybrid model will get 41 mpg around town and 36 mpg on the highway. The engineers at Ford and Lincoln even remedied some of the traditional complaints that hybrid owners have. The continuously variable transmission (CVT) allows for optimal performance and increased fuel efficiency. However, many drivers miss that kick you get during acceleration. The MKZ hybrid features a built-in kick feeling during acceleration, so that drivers have the illusion and personal satisfaction that their car is performing correctly. Also, they have worked on the transition noise that you hear when the gas engine takes over for the battery pack, so the overall driving experience is quieter and smoother.

The all new 2011 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid is really going to shake things up in the luxury hybrid class. Its a good thing that the current Ford Incentives will help clear out the 2010 inventory to make room for the highly anticipated 2011 line up. While the cars at Peoria VW Dealer can be quite luxurious, comfortable, and fuel efficient, Lincoln is hoping that the trusted luxury Lincoln has built their reputation on will help sway sales in their direction. With a lot of repair shops complaining about not having the equipment to work on hybrid models, at least the employees at Richmond Body Shop Dealers don’t have to change anything about the way they work on different types of vehicles.

The 2011 Hybrid model will be available this Fall and Ford’s website swears that it will be priced with the low sticker price of the regular gas model; a starting MSRP of $35,180. It should be interesting to see how Ford and Lincoln manage to sell the same model vehicle, one a hybrid and one a non-hybrid, for the same price. Lincoln’s goal with the MKZ Hybrid is to be the most fuel efficient luxury car in America. Its estimated fuel economy will be 41 mpg city and 36 mpg on the highway. This model is reported to get an impressive 700 miles per tank of gas! The money you will save in gas makes it a bargain, almost. When the driver is travelling at speeds less than 47 mph, the vehicle is operating in electric mode. The traditional engine will kick into gear at higher speeds or if additional power is required during acceleration at lower speeds. The 2.5 liter engine coupled with a nickel metal hydride battery gives drivers a total of 191 horsepower. Plus, the innovative Regenerative Braking System uses the energy put out during braking action from heat and friction to recharge the battery. When the driver presses the brake pedal, the traction motor turns in the opposite direction, producing currents to slow the vehicle and increase the life of brake pads, all while charging the battery.

If you have not gone to Philadelphia Ford Dealers yet to test-drive the new 2010 Ford Escape Hybrid, we strongly suggest you take some time! With a starting MSRP of only $29,860, the great fuel rates and functionality of an SUV combination you get with the Escape is a great deal that has yet to be beat. Sure, the Tiguan from Volkswagen is comparable, but not when it comes to fuel ratings. Plus, the Escape is so comfortable it seems like it should be sold under the cousin relationship Charlotte Mercury Dealer name!

Ford’s website says that the 2010 Ford Escape Hybrid is “The Most Fuel-Efficient SUV on the Planet.” As of right now, no one can argue with them. Averaging 34 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway, it’s fuel economy rivals that of some ecofriendly passenger cars! One of the tricks is that when you are idling in traffic or are travelling at speeds less than 44 mph while in electic mode, the Escape Hybrid does not use any gasoline. But the green effort did not stop at the gas tank; Ford even made the seats inside from green materials. Ford started using soybean foam a few years ago in their seats, and the consumers seem to love the durable comfort they provide. Plus, Ford made the Escape Hybrid seats from 100% post-industrial materials, so it basically took a bunch of materials that were on their way to the landfills and crafted comfortable seating for five passengers; impressive!

There must be something that consumers have not liked about this model, but the complaints are pretty superficial. Apparently the process to fold down the back seats is a bit of a pain, but it is only a matter of time until the push button feature that is popping up on other models finds itself installed in the Escape. Other drivers say the powertrain is noisy when going on an onramp, but then again, you are in an SUV and they aren’t the quietest vehicles on the road.

The exterior of this car is made to look sleek, but at the same time this pint sized car stands out on its own. The curvy look to the body design just adds to it’s appeal, and it also gives you a little edge with it’s design. This Ford vehicle also has a interior to match, and it gives you all the support and comfort you need along with the leg room you want.

Although this Ford is not yet released on the market it is making huge waves. This car brings fuel efficiency and design to a whole new level.

Over all no matter what the price is you can’t go wrong with the Ford Start. It gives you everything you are looking for in a car, and it gives you everything you want in a car. Ford Motors is once again pushing the line of standards with this new model car.

Ford Focuses on Fuel Efficiency!

Ford has a focus and it is definitely on fuel economy. The push for fuel efficiency appears to be working as a strategy to earn new customers. According to Ford, approximately 54 percent of Fusion Hybrid buyers did not previously own Fords, and 66 percent of Fusion Hybrid owners are coming out of foreign vehicles. The Fusion and Milan hybrids, full-size sedans, have an EPA mileage rating of 41 mpg in the city. If you currently need your Ford serviced, you can go to any Ford service department and even some Buick Service centers. Purchasing one of these fuel efficient rides is easy and be sure to look for Ford Finance Specials when you shop.

Ford’s momentum is also based on improved quality ratings. One survey on vehicle quality by RDA Group shows Ford with the fewest problems of any carmaker, including Toyota and Honda which usually rank on top for quality. Ford plans to continue its path toward greater efficiency by adding more hybrids, smaller engines using “EcoBoost,” and four plug-in cars. The company’s goal is to improve fuel economy by more than 35 percent by 2015 (compared to 2005 levels).

The company has also committed to at least four new electrified vehicles on the road in the US by 2012, including a full battery electric vehicle, a plug-in hybrid, and new conventional hybrids. These new, innovative automobiles can change the way we drive and the way we affect the environment. Ford’s 10 Best Vehicles of All Time

Ford Motor Company has built an extremely wide variety of vehicles since its start in 1903 so it was pretty hard to compile a list of the 10 best Ford vehicles. Some of these vehicles you definitely won’t see while visiting your Cincinnati Ford Dealer because well, they aren’t manufactured. The best is judged upon if the vehicles earned a real advance in terms of engineering, design, capability, or acceptance.

1. We start off with the Model-T. It was produced from 1908 to 1927 and more than 16,500,000 were sold. Ford made it America’s first affordable car and opened the country for travel.

2. The Model A which was introduced in 1927 became very popular and was sold in a great number of body styles for a price that was between $385 – $570 and whose top speed was around 60 mph and the fuel economy was about 40 mpg.

3. The Thunderbird came about in 1955 as a response to the Corvette. This still remains a great classic since it was one of the first sporty personal luxury cars.

4. Ford shocked the sports-car world in 1966 by racing in the Le Mans with a GT40 which broke Ferrari’s string of championships. Eventually Cincinnati Ford Dealers began selling street-able versions of it.

5. In the ’60s the fierce Shelby Cobras were born. Ford definitely can take credit for the engine and drive-train of one of the world’s best sports cars.

6. After quite a few years the 1992 Taurus SHO emerged. A former owner said, “It’s great, police don’t notice, insurance and taxes are almost nothing!”

7. The 2010 Fusion Hybrid. This vehicle has won all kinds of awards because it has responsive handling, it’s fun to drive, and is available in a lot of configurations. This car is a state of the art hybrid and it’s reasonably price and has pretty good fuel economy.

8. The 2010 F-150, F-150s have been traversing the roadways since 1975 and is pretty much the best-loved truck in America. There is a lot of competition but Ford seems to outdo its rivals in most departments. Since 1948, the F-Series has sold over 30,000,000 vehicles which makes it the second-biggest seller of all time, Corolla being the first.

9. The 2011 Ford Mustang is a real improvement. Now with much better handling and performance, the 2011 offers new powertrains to keep its competitors hopping. The GT version is even hotter.

10. The 2011 Ford Fiesta, this vehicle has outsold the VW Golf and has become the best-selling car in Europe. And there’s a few simple reasons for that too. It’s a very good small car now in its sixth generation, it performs well, comes in a variety of configurations, starts at just $13,320, and is coming to take over the U.S. this summer.

Ford Fusion Hybrid: Over 1400 Miles on One Tank of Gas

“The Fusion Hybrid works brilliantly,” says Wayne Gerdes, CleanMPG.com founder. “When you don’t need acceleration power while driving around town, the gas engine shuts down just the way it is supposed to. There is not another hybrid drivetrain in the world that does that as effectively. This new car to be released this year will get you an amazing 1400 miles on one tank of gas. That’s almost 81.5 miles to the gallon. This car was recently put to the test by Carl Edwards, a former NASCAR star, who drove the car well over a thousand miles.

The Ford web site states a few simple techniques that can help any driver improve their fuel economy. Some of these bits of advice include: accelerating smoothly up to the speed limit, coasting up to stop signs, minimizing the use of vehicle systems, and keeping the windows closed as much as possible to reduce drag.

Carl Edwards and his team used some of these techniques when putting the new Ford Fusion 2010 through the one thousand miles challenge. They drove continuously for 48 hours, and rotated drivers through the night.

Highly-priced gas has left all car owners, and the government scrambling for a solution. Some time in 2008 they came up with a concept that eventually labeled itself with a name and got acknowledged as maybe not the exact solution high gas prices, but a compromise at least. Hybrid cars were developed, and the idea adopted by several of top car companies such as Toyota, Ford, Honda and many more.

Hybrid cars were defined to the public as a split between electric assistance and typical car fuel usage. The car wasn’t exactly what the public asked for, but it beats the idea of complete fuel usage that a lot of car dealers such as Indianapolis Honda and most Cincinnati Ford Dealers use with most of their cars.

The notion of paying half as much in fuel as compared to all of it to fill up your entire tank was accepted much faster then most consumers begin to think which is why it was no surprise that the Ford Fusion and Ford Escape created such a success. Especially considering the Ford SUV cost-savings for consumers who are used to shelling out mass amount in gas, and time worrying about when their needle was going to go from full to empty.

It is clear that the Ford Hybrid creations have been greatly appreciated by the consumers who have acquired them. Don’t get left behind–you could be one of those people too!

Ford Fusion Driving Team Hits 1000 Miles with 1/3 Gas Tank Remaining

The Ford Fusion Hybrid is on its way to living up to all the hype, as the team that set out on a single tank of gas has traveled over 1,000 miles. The team is made up of engineers, hyper-milers and race car drivers, all on a mission to prove the superior fuel economy of the all-new Ford Fusion. This past weekend, this talented team set out on a mission – To drive 1000 miles in the new Ford Fusion on a single tank of gas. They have now accomplished their goal, and still have approximately 1/3 of their gas tank still remaining after approximately 47 hours of driving. As of right now, the team is averaging about 80 miles per gallon, which was achieved by using several “hyper-mile” techniques. Award wining hyper miler Wayne Gerdes, in addition to NASCAR driver Carl Edwards are a part of the team.

This test was inspired by Ford’s commitment to display the ideal fuel mileage capabilities of the Ford Fusion, as well as Ford’s passion for manufacturing the best fuel efficient vehicles. Some of the techniques that the team is currently using to maximize gas mileage include coasting up to red lights and stop signs, minimal use of heat/AC, gradual acceleration, smooth braking, and even throttle pressure. In addition to raising awareness about high fuel mileage vehicles, this test is also raising money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. Cincinnati Ford dealers are proud to be selling them.
