Generation Y, or the Millenials as they have re-termed themselves to gain separation from Gen X-ers, is the target market for the Ford Fiesta. This target market was born somewhere between 1985 and 2001, although the exact years have not been established. Those young 20-somethings desperately want new vehicles but often times have a hard time getting financed for one. Often they need a co-signer, a history of steady employment, and a great credit score, when more often than not, these Millenials have no credit at all.

Only on sales of the Ford Fiesta will loan applications be thoroughly reviewed. Ford hopes to bring over a handful of small, fuel-efficient vehicles stateside that have proven successful in Europe. This young market is our future, and that future is eco-conscious. Ford is trying to make the green movement affordable for all. Plus, someone from the Baby Boomer age might find the Fiesta cute or a smart idea, but it is unlikely they are going to purchase one.

The Fiesta has quietly been gaining support since the beginning of 2009 when Ford began advertising on social media sites like Twitter and Facebook. Ford has implemented their Ford College Student Purchase Program, giving $500 cash back to current students in addition to current rebate incentive programs already applied to the vehicle.

Ford increased their profitability in the first quarter of 2010.  The steps that Ford intends to take to increase profitability based on a quote by vice-president of marketing, Ingvar Sviggum, include: growing sales volume, reduce volume in areas that are less profitable, improving profit margins and increasing resale value of automobiles, and improving technology in their new products.

Ford continues to do well in the European market, being the number 2 best selling passenger car manufacturer.  Ford was also the best selling brand in the UK, Hungary, Denmark, Ireland and Turkey for the first 5 months of 2010.  The Ford Fiesta is Europe’s number 1 top selling sports car with 204,000 units sold during the first 5 months of 2010.  Most of the Fiesta’s sales have been from Europe, where 730,000 out of 833,000 models of the Fiesta have been sold since design changes in 2008.

Sviggum also said,  “2010 is extremely busy for Ford in terms of new vehicle launches, and we have some very exciting new models coming to the market this year and early in 2011.”

In 2010, Ford plans on relaunch or coming out with 11 products, in an attempt to improve profitability and stay competitive.  Ford has made massive changes in their technology and features with models such as the new S-MAX and Galaxy.  The new C-MAX and Grand C-MAX multi-activity vehicles are also going to be released in 2010.  Ford has also improved their diesel engines with new technologies, and the EcoBoost 2.0 liter direct injection turbocharged engine is included with the S-MAX, Galaxy, and Ford Mondeo.

Ford Motor Company has finally announced some greatly awaited news regarding the 2011 Ford Fiesta. Since the Fiesta has been really popular for a while in Europe and with the positive attention it has gotten from the American Auto Shows, Ford has planned on it being a very popular vehicle in the American market.

Why is it going to be really popular in the American market? Well, the fact that it will get 40 miles to the gallon may have something to do with it. This is going to have everyone just rushing to their Tarboro Ford dealer.

The 2011 Ford Fiesta is equipped with a dual-clutch 6-speed PowerShift transmission (basically its a fancy automatic) and yields 40 mpg on the highway and 29 around town. When it is equipped as a manual-type vehicle its fuel economy is still impressive with 28 in the city and 37 on the highway.

Are you on your way to a Cincinnati Ford dealer yet? Because these numbers are unrivaled by an non-hybrid in the domestic market and it is more budget friendly than any other hybrid on the market.

Ford Motor’s finally begun production of a car that has more self-generated buzz than a mosquito, the 2011 Fiesta small car which you can soon find at a Cincinnati Ford dealer.

Fiesta four-door sedans and hatchbacks now are chugging down the line in Ford’s converted F-series pickup truck plant at Cuautitlán, near Mexico City. Expect Fiestas — already on sale overseas — in U.S. showrooms in June. Sedan starts at $13,995, including $675 shipping. Hatchback comes with more standard equipment and starts at $15,795.

It’s a rival to Honda Fit. Power is from a 120-horsepower, 1.6-liter four-cylinder. Ford says one version will get federal fuel-economy ratings of 30 mpg in town, 40 mpg on the highway so Concord Ford dealers are sure to sell these fast.

The Ford Fiesta is making a comeback in the US for 2011, prompted by an increased demand for better fuel economy with a reasonable price. The European-styled supermini is already in production in some areas. With its sporty driving dynamics, smooth and peppy engine, high fuel economy, welcoming cabin, and available high-end luxury features not many people don’t want the Ford Fiesta but have those people seen the price tag?

The Fiesta goes on sale this summer at $13,320 for the four door and $15,120 for the hatchback, without destination charges, compared to $12,615 for Toyota Yaris and $14,900 for Honda Fit. When you add in such standard accessories as automatic transmission, moonroof and leather seats, the price can zoom to $19,000, Brent Snavely writes. That’s more expensive than the larger, though dated, Focus at $16,290.

The Fiesta may have been getting some great reviews lately but the price tag might set a few people off especially for the fact everyone is staying on a budget because of the economy. However, if the big price tag for the small car doesn’t turn you off, then go ahead and talk to a Ford dealer.

Ford has unveiled its new Fiesta S1600. While there’s a makeover inside and out, performance has been left untouched: you get the same choice of 118 bhp 1.6-liter petrol and 89 bhp 1.6-liter diesel engines as the Fiesta Zetec S this special edition is based on. Still, you can always add Mountune’s upgrade to the former, upping its power output to 138bhp and dipping the 0-60 mph time to a respectable 7.9sec.

The S1600 is certainly a cool-looking addition to the hot Fiesta lineage – a mild bodykit, classic striped livery (you can choose blue on white or vice-versa), larger rear spoiler and white alloys ensuring it looks the part. Those wheels are 17in on petrol cars, 16in diesel; our experience shows the car boasts a more compliant ride with the latter.

Inside there’s plenty of leather and some new ‘Motorsport’ branding, as well as a new pair of pews up front – heated, stitched leather sports seats, complete with side airbags.

Just 650 Fiesta S1600s are being made and prices are kicking off at $25,723 so if you’re really in need for one of these bad boys it might be wise to go to a Ford dealer and request one pronto.

Inside the Fiesta, they have a multi function LCD screen and cell phone inspired center console, enabling the driver to have less distractions.  The Sync in car connectivity and intelligent access with push button start are two options in the Fiesta.  The lighting is soothing with the ambient lighting at your feet in the front and the back.  The cupholders light up to make it more accessible in finding at night.  Fiesta gives you the choice of seven colors, allowing you to choose whatever you may.  It will be the new little fast car.  It is available in the sedan or hatchback and the hatchback does give more cargo room.

The Ford fiesta is definitely eye catching and desirable to have with the fuel economy.  Its sleek design and new handling is what Ford needed in the subcompact car competition.  Ford has rolled out yet another set of wheels that compete outstandingly.
