Focus and Fiesta: Popular Worldwide!

The vehicles that Honda Dealer St. Louis sell to buyers used to come solely from Japan, but now there are plenty of manufacturing plants here in the United States. Edmonton Ford Dealers and Ford Motor Company have a vision of becoming a global household name, and given the recent sales figures of some of their global vehicles show that that goal is getting closer to becoming a reality. Out of the top ten vehicle models that originate in the U.S. but are sold overseas, the top two can be found at Greenfield Ford Dealers.

Out of the three domestic auto companies (Chrysler, Ford, and General Motors), GM might have more vehicles currently being sold overseas but the ones that Ford has produced are outselling all of the other vehicle models. The Ford Fiesta is the most popular American car that is sold overseas, and 322,900 units have been sold just in the overseas area. The Ford Focus is the second most popular American car that is sold overseas, with a reported 204,400 units sold. Both of these brands have been around for a while now, but recent redesigns and special attention to detail have boosted sales.

Other cars from American producers include the Buick LaCrosse, Dodge Journey, Jeep Wrangler, Buick Regal, and Chevrolet Malibu. These are all American cars that are relatively successful with their domestic sales, but their amount of units sold pales in comparison to the amount of Fords sold. The Dodge Journey has only sold 17,680 units while the Chevrolet Malibu is higher with 174,526 units sold.

So why is the Focus and Fiesta from Ford Motor Company so popular all across the globe? Well, they both have had very recent redesigns that have improved their attractiveness. Buyers like that there is improved fuel economy, more comfortable seats, and the interior materials used are of a higher quality. Plus, both of these compact vehicles start out at affordable prices but you can add optional features almost to the point of being a luxury commuter car!

Will the C-Max Succeed Stateside?

If you are in the market for a new minivan, someone might steer you in the direction of Apple Valley Toyota. But if someone is in the market for a smaller crossover vehicle, you might find yourself test driving some of the cars at Bommarito Nissan. The fact of the matter is that minivans are being phased out in favor of crossover types of vehicles. The minivan era is closing and parents want the functionality of a minivan without being labeled a soccer mom. Crossover vehicles come in many shapes and sizes, but most of all they offer cargo and passenger capacity, and they look good doing it.

While the Odyssey can still be found at Barker Honda Coupons, other auto brands are trying on a different size. Ford Motor Company discontinued their Windstar, which was their contribution to the minivan class. While their European markets are soaring with their popular small cars (Fiesta and Focus), Ford is slowly integrating those smaller cars into the U.S. market. Their next project is to introduce the 2012 Ford C-Max in both the United States and Europe. We can expect that the smaller body type will be sold in Europe where the market is more accepting of small cars. The car marketed in the U.S. will be known as the Grand C-Max.

The C-Max will not be classified as a minivan, a car, a crossover, or any other label but rather will live up to its MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) classification quite nicely. The “C” in C-Max represents the global compact car platform Ford is using on several new cars. Also, we have already seen the C-body style on the popular Ford Focus. So it will be interesting to see how they are going to comfortably fit seven people in something not much larger than a Ford Focus, but when there is a will there is a way!

Ford’s Zero Emissions?

Ford is once again leading the way. Over seas in the UK they are pushing for zero emission cars, and Ford is sending a fleet over there to help. Every Ford car that is loading up to be on its way is completely electric, and it does not releases any emissions. Other cars are not far behind like the Peoria Volkswagen.

Can this be done? The answer is yes, but Ford is going to observe in a test run to make sure that each person is getting exactly what they expect out of there cars. Keep in mind these are the newest models. This means that they offer modern features and comfort. There is no more squeezing into small cars that can barely hold one person.

The cars that are now offered give you everything you need with out making you squeeze in. Ford Motors is once again pushing the envelop in redesigning and rebuild cars, trucks, cross overs, and SUV to go green. Their electric cars are pushing the standards of all the hybrid cars in its class.

Keep in mind that these cars are green, but they might cost you a lot of green like other cars in its class. While others stick with their gas guzzlers many say that these car are the future, and they offer a spark all their own. They might cost you a lot to roll of the lot, but in the long run you are saving more then ever.

While these cars are not yet available over here yet they are on there way. Ford Motors is planning on releasing the electric car fleet over in the U.S. next.

The Hybrid C-Max

Ford has said that it plans to launch hybrid versions of its new-generation C-Max small minivan in Europe in 2013. The automaker plans to invest $410 million at its plant in Valencia, Spain over the next three years to prepare that plant for production of hybrid electric and a plug-in electric versions of the C-Max. For those Americans who don’t know, the Ford C-Max is a compact multi-purpose vehicle that is produced by Ford in Saarlouis for the European market and the American market but more than likely you won’t see any of these at your Cincinnati Ford dealer.

Ford said the Spanish government and Valencia regional administration are providing grant support but did not disclose the amount. The announcement is part of the automaker’s plans to introduce five hybrid vehicles in Europe by 2013.

Hybrid electric vehicles, which are available at a Concord Ford dealer, use a small gasoline engine to recharge an electric battery that powers the car while plug-in electric vehicles are designed to go farther on a single battery charge and also can be recharged by being plugged into an electric power source. Ford will build the five and seven seat C-Max off of its all-new compact car platform – the same platform that will be the basis of the all-new Ford Focus.

Fords European Sales are Looking Promising

Even as America’s Auto Industry is suffering, Ford of Europe has posted suprising gains in retail sales for the month of March, 2009. Leading the way in Ford of Europe’s sales has been the all-new Ford Fiesta, which has been rapidly increasing in popularity all over Europe.

In the 19 main European markets, the top-selling Ford car models included the Ford Fiesta, the Ford Focus, and the Ford Transit for the month of March. Since approximately 56 percent of March sales were generated purely from retail customers (up from 43 percent in March 2008), this is good news for Ford’s European Auto Industry. This resulted in an increase in total market share in approximately 16 (of the 19) major European markets. March marked the highest sales ever for the Ford Fiesta, also making it the best-selling Ford model in European markets.

As of right now, Ford of Europe has increased its market share to 10.0% due to this sales increase. This is the first time that Ford of Europe’s market share has been in the double-digits since September of 2001. It was only in Spain, France and Switzerland that Ford of Europe showed a decline in market shares.

For the past five months, the Ford Fiesta has been the top best-selling model in Britain. Also, for the first time since March of 2007, Ford was the most popular brand for foreign car purchases in Russia. Ford’s Russian market shares have increased to 8.4%, up a total of 1.8 percentage points from 2008. In Italy, sales of Ford vehicles have increased 21.7% from March of 2008. This resulted in an increase of Ford’s Italian market share to 10.1%, up a total of 2.3 percentage points from the same month in 2008.

Even with these seemingly promising numbers, it’s important to remember that over the 51 European markets, Ford’s total vehicle sales are down 16.3% from the same time last year. However, it is still worth noting that Ford of Europe seems to be dealing with the current financial crisis fairly well in comparison to the rest of the Automobile Industry.
