Ford vehicles can be traded in at a Cedartown Ford dealership or other local Ford dealer. Ford’s Lincoln brand is gaining in popularity and there several high quality Ford models that are similar in quality to luxury Lincoln models which can be test driven or purchased from Auburn Ford Dealer businesses. The Lincoln-Mercury dealership paid the settlement after a judge ordered the dealer to pay Gerald Medow damages in a lawsuit. Dealers such as Ford Dealership MN were not affected by the suit.

A jury awarded more money than what was actually paid out but the amount was cut down due to the state’s deceptive practices law limits. The buyer traded in his 2003 Infiniti FX45 to buy a new Lincoln MKX at the dealer, but the dealer refused to trade in the Infiniti because of the negative equity on the vehicle. The salesman told Medow that the balance on the Infiniti would be covered and he also told him that he could trade in his Lincoln after 11 months to get a new vehicle. The new vehicle would have lower monthly payments but the retail sales agreement did not have the trade.

Medow also did not have any info that his Infiniti registration had been cancelled and he later on found out that his loan was never paid. Someone also had charged hundreds of dollars in tolls while driving the Infiniti and the registration was not taken out in his name either. The dealer said that no misconduct was done and also said that Medow did not read his agreement carefully enough, but a judge ruled otherwise. The papers said that Medow should have used more car when shopping for his vehicle at the dealership.

The sales of Ford F-150 models equipped with the EcoBoost engine have been even more than expected for this year among other Ford models equipped with the engine. The reason why so many buyers have turned to these engines is due to rising gas prices throughout the country. With gas exceeding $4 per gallon in many areas, fuel costs are a major concern, and the latest vehicles at auto shows throughout the country have almost all had some type of fuel saving feature or engine, or have been alternative energy vehicles.

The EcoBoost engine is still an optional choice and it costs extra, anywhere from $750 to $1,750 depending on the model of the F-150, and the price of the engine varies on other models. The EcoBoost provides increases of fuel economy by up to 20 percent compared to traditional engines. The rising gas prices have driven buyers to look at fuel saving vehicles as a way to save money during the lifetime of the vehicle. The gas savings can total thousands of dollars over the period of several years. EcoBoost and other fuel saving features are sure to be a mainstay for Ford, and automakers will likely offer their own versions of this engine soon.

Ford had large losses in 2008 after gas prices increased due to the company’s reliance on large vehicles and a lack of fuel efficient vehicles.

Since then that has changed with Ford relaunching many of its models to be much more fuel efficient, and also launching new models that have been equipped with cutting edge fuel saving features and technology. Models like the Ford Fusion Hybrid and the Focus have been highly sought after by buyers throughout the world due to their fuel economy, driving experience, entertainment, and other features.

Ford redesigned the new Power Stroke engine to be more fuel efficient as well as environmentally friendly. The engine was developed with computer simulations that were used to evaluate piston shapes as well as the placement of fuel spray within the combustion chamber. Ford’s team in Great Britain and at the Ford Research Lab in Aachen, Germany helped design the new engine using a number of protocols and layouts.

The study found that different markets in the United States had different vehicle color preferences, and Clovis Ford Dealership and other dealerships have reported color preference trends depending on the region.

For instance, Boston Ford buyers have more strongly preferred the color green with their new Ford models. In Phoenix on the other hand, orange is a more popular color for vehicles. The most red cars are sold in Cincinnati, which may be influenced by the local baseball team. Similarly the Celtics may be influencing the preference for green in Boston. Ford also studied the habits of buyers in different markets who purchase features. Seattle was the number one buyer of moonroofs and air conditioned seats for Ford models.

Ford is attempting to understand buying patterns to be able to reach their customer base more effectively.Ford has also found that the most environmentally conscious buyers were from the Seattle and San Francisco markets, and these markets had the highest number of hybrid purchases. The grey and silver shades are more popular in the larger cities along the coasts. California and the Pacific Northwest buyers are attracted to grey toned vehicles.

Ford uses the data it collects from these studies to help the company determine which options, vehicles, colors, and features that it should ship to various markets throughout the United States and the rest of the world. The goal is to offer the options which are in the highest demand and to be sure that those options are available to buyers.

With finances in many cities beginning to dry up, saving money through reduced fuel costs is a way for cities and police departments to reduce overhead, and as a result these new models will quickly begin working their way into police departments throughout the country. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is the largest sheriff’s department in the world and operates 6,200 fleet vehicles. With a fleet wide fuel increase of 20 percent the department would save an estimated $20 million per year, but this is also considering that every vehicle would be swapped out for the new more efficient Ford interceptor. Fuel costs can quickly add up over time over, and within 5-6 years the new models could begin to pay off.

The Territory is going to arrive in Australia sometime this May and will come in three different trim levels; TX, TS, and Titanium.  While the exact engine specifications have not been released as of right now, it has been confirmed that one of the models will feature a diesel engine.  Diesel vehicles are becoming increasingly popular as consumers realize they are more fuel efficient and release less pollution into the atmosphere.  Inside the Territory, drivers will have the option to seat either five or seven passengers, and the set up is arranged solely for the average Australian family.

The exterior design is a bit more bold and a bit more fluid, and that is to stay current with Ford’s new “kinetic design” motto.  You can expect to start seeing slight changes to the rest of the Ford Motor Company’s outward appearance in the next few production models.  Inside the Ford Territory is a top of the line eight-inch touchscreen instrument panel, and this is the first year that such advanced technology has been available in the Ford Territory.

Under the hood is a 3.7-liter Duratec engine that has plenty of power.  The handling is smooth, steady, and responsive.  You can take corners like you are in a sedan but it isn’t the Ford Mustang it would like to be.  The six-speed automatic transmission helps with fuel economy, but you are still only going to average 19.5 mpg overall.  The exterior is boldly shaped and the large grille is one that you won’t forget anytime soon.

Inside the Ford Edge Sport you will find the innovative MyFord Touch technology and infotainment system.  The speedometer in the center of the driver’s dash has two smaller LCD screens on either side, both of which can be customized in terms of styling and information displayed.  The screen on the left notifies drivers about the health of the vehicle while the screen on the right displays information about climate, music, and your cell phone.  Both screens can be controlled from the navigational pads that are mounted on the steering wheel.  The main screen in the center of the dashboard does just about everything you could possibly imagine your vehicle to do, but there is a second or two lag for the system to compute its task.  One word of caution to new drivers is to familiarize yourself with the MyFord Touch navigations immensely before trying to do anything while operating the vehicle.

While none of these changes will happen overnight, there are plans in the works to improve the interior and exterior design of the entire Lincoln line up.  Their signature waterfall grille might be on the chopping block completely or it might experience a few tweaks to bring it into the modern day.  Also, Lincoln vehicles will now begin to feature unique powertrains and improved technology features that shoppers will not be able to find on any Ford vehicles.

This means that a lot of changes are about to take place in the land of Lincoln.  The plan is for approximately 200 Lincoln dealerships to close their doors in the next couple of years and those who remain open will have to plan on investing a substantial chunk of change to upgrade their mechanical equipment.  As dealerships have seen an increase of hybrid and electric vehicles in the line ups, they have had to invest lots of money to stay current with the maintenance demands of the cars they are selling.  Some specifics that Lincoln shoppers can look forward to include a wider selection of engine choices including more V6 choices, improved suspension, all-wheel drive, and upgraded features for added safety and convenience.  However, there are no plans to add a rear-wheel drive vehicle at this time.

The Ford Focus Electric is going to have some power under the hood; well, actually the battery pack is located under the back seats!  Drivers can reach a top speed of 84 mph with ease and they are going to love the 123 horsepower combined with 181 pound feet of torque.  All the power is coming from a 23-kilowatt hour LG Chem battery pack delivered from Michigan.  This battery is a little different from some of the other ones currently on the market because it is actively heated and cooled so that range is maximized as well as overall battery life.  Just like cell phone and laptop batteries begin to lose their ability to hold a charge after being recharged so many times, electric vehicle batteries fall victim to the same energy loss.

Consumers should rest assured that Ford is not mass producing an electric vehicle just to try and stay competitive with the rest of the pack.  Rather, they have already had great success with their Ford Transit Connect Electric van that their fleet customers are already falling in love with.  Ford hopes that the Ford Focus Electric will be more successful than the Transit Connect Electric and the Blue Oval plans to produce 15,000 of the EV Focus units this year alone!  Additionally, the vehicle will hit the European market early in 2012.
