There are too many vehicles that you find at Fort Worth Used Car Dealers that don’t actually deliver what they claim to deliver. How many times have you visited a dealership to find an example of what you see on the television only to be horribly disappointed? There are a lot of duds out there in the auto world, but not at Ford Dealer Memphis. When it comes to getting an SUV, many of us are in dire need of the cargo carrying capacity that the vehicles promise. That being said, too many of the cars that promise cargo room have horrible designs or hidden catches.

Drivers like how easy it is to drive the new crossover SUVs that are gaining popularity among consumers. Their lower ground clearance makes loading packages far easier than if you were driving a full sized SUV. The 2011 Ford Edge delivers on all of its promises, and drivers love how smoothly it drives. The crossover vehicle offers plenty of luxury that will spice up your daily commute, and many people who either own the Edge or have test-driven one think it is one of the most fun vehicles to drive.

The 2011 Ford Edge offers drivers two different engine choices, and both of them will come with a six-speed automatic transmission. The edge weighs in at 4,200 pounds and that helps maintain stability during slippery winter driving. If you go with the all-wheel drive version of the 2011 Ford Edge, you will enjoy getting 25 mpg on the highway and 18 mpg around town. Things will continue to get better for the Edge when we see a four-cylinder turbocharged model hit dealership lots early next year.  If you haven’t checked out the Edge up close yet, there is no time like the present!

The idea behind a crossover SUV is to handle and perform like a car, while providing the room and style of an SUV. Despite their appearance, off-roading is generally not recommended. However, when looking for a unique combination of power, control, and headroom, Cincinnati Ford dealers believes you need not look further.

The Interior

The 2009 Ford Flex is a seven-passenger CUV with adjustable and removable rear seats, allowing for plenty of storage room. There are many available options including Ford’s new voice-activated communications and entertainment system, Ford-Sync. There is also an option to have an interior mini-refrigerator in the middle console. There is a Vista roof for skylight, and programmable interior mood-lighting, giving your drive a sense of style, whether in Cincinnati, New York, or anywhere.

Safety

The Flex comes standard with Ford’s AdvanceTrac traction control system which assists driver control in times of emergency, even going as far as preventing rolls. There is also the option of all-wheel-drive, and a backup camera, which ties into the navigation system.

Powertrain

The 2009 Ford Flex comes standard with a 3.5 L V6 engine capable of up to 262 horsepower, paired with a 6 Speed 6F Automatic Transmission, allowing towing of up to 4,500 pounds.

Reviews seem to be generally positive among the press. Many praise Ford’s bold  and high quality design choice, and are pleased with the available Ford Sync. Yet  many also criticize it’s limited cargo space in comparison to other crossovers, and raise issues about the steering wheel not telescoping. Overall this proves as another solid Ford design, and we should be seeing more of it in future years.
