This year Microsoft and Ford put their heads together yet again, and invented something Memphis Jeep could only dream about possessing: Windows Embedded Automotive 7. This Microsoft Automotive platform is similar to what invented the original Ford SYNC technology, but it is not quite that simple.

Instead, Microsoft has invented an automotive technology platform that is designed to provide select automakers with technology that they can integrate into their vehicles to enhance communication, entertainment, navigation and information for their consumers. Since it offers a wide variety of features, it can also meet all the requirements of even the most complicated technological-oriented people.

The key features are as follows:

1. Speech Commands

2. Touch Input

3. Hands-Free Bluetooth phone communications

4. Advanced dashboard systems for access to music

5. Third-party applications and Navigation

6. Streamlined connectivity with other devices

With all of that, it is almost hard to wonder why it isn’t all the rage already! Most of the reason why it is not is due to the late start in North America. Ford has scheduled for the MyFord touch to be launched in Europe and Asia early next year, but have not yet provided an alternative date for when such technology will be released in North America. However, you can also find the same technology with other companies such as: Nissan, Fiat, and Alpine that are also incorporating the Windows Embedded Automotive 7 into their latest and greatest vehicle line-up.

When it comes to all things trucks, Ford is very well-know for their F-150 inventory that has won the hearts of most truck-oriented automotive consumers. They have created both the F-series as well as the Ford Ranger to best suit the needs that their loyal trucking customers so dutifully set for the automaker. While the all new 2010 Ford Ranger may not be all that most people hoped for, it has hit home with a few nice features that almost any car consumer can grow to appreciate.

The great thing about the Ford Ranger series almost always seems to come with the low price tag it has within it’s class. Yet not only does it dominate the field of pricing, but it also stays a lower-maintenance vehicle which helps lower the projected operating and maintenance costs. However, while some may be able to appreciate these great perks to the vehicle, it cannot be ignored that it has been ranked 7 out of 8 in compact pick-up trucks and it does have it’s own negatives about it that keeps it from flourishing on North Carolina dealership lots.

These flaws may be overlooked by most, but when it comes to unimpressive engines, an uncomfortable interior, and a dated design it does seem kind of hard to ignore the little things that may become big drawbacks in a buyer’s market. However, these features may just be unpopular enough to send this Ford model reeling back into Ford’s vault where it may belong. After a series with as much success as the F-series it may be the best decision to discontinue the model–which is what Ford has decided to do–after the all new 2010 model.

Perhaps the Ford Ranger will be seen as a more of a rare treasure as opposed to a burdened model after all!

There has seemed to be something missing though. What seemed to be missing for the loyal Ford customers was a truck that could be capable over any terrain–and be capable fast. That missing ingredient seemed to be filled with the F-150 Raptor.

Built to travel over water-crossings, through mud, over rocky shelves and almost everything else–the F-150 Raptor has done and will do it for you. It is known both by Texans who voted it truck of the year, as well as many others what kind of terrains this Ford F-150 Raptor is capable of handling. Measured with the same respect and great quality the average F-150 has, the F-150 Raptor only seems to take those qualities and enhance them with the rear suspension that is said to have about three trucks worth of rear suspension just in itself.

I know you want to say it–”What a truck!”

Unfortunately, as much as we can all grow to love this truck and all its fantastic features the truth must be known that in having these qualities–they’re gonna cost you. Known to be about double the cost of the average F-150 the Ford F-150 Raptor’s go for about $26,300 without any respect for anything different.

Armed with new safety and inspiration from familiarly-favored vehicles such as the Ford F-150 and Ford Fusion it has not been a mystery that Beechmont Ford dealers have been doing well. Yet with a new addition to the family, Ford has introduced the Ford Fiesta which has said to offer quite a bit both through its technological side including the mobile phone-based design, red ambient lighting, and Bluetooth connectivity. Even more so, the car is supposed to provide an “Intelligent Protection System” with a standard knee air bag and seven other additional air bags. Automatic windshield wipers and cruise control will be optional.

Little is known about the upcoming vehicle except for the fact that it is supposedly a new, much-needed addition to the Ford company and will be providing consumers with a lot of things that have been missing. Will the new Ford Fiesta survive and succeed in the consumer market? We shall see.

With that being said, it is not much of a mystery that the Ford Ranger has gotten a bit of its chance to show off just what it can do which has been something of scarce chance thanks to trucks like Ford F-150’s and Chevy Silverado’s.

Of course, it is not that there has been any problems with the Ford Ranger or any reason why it should be left behind in the automotive consumer market. However, it is not a secret that class, style, and more luxurious attributes with a truck do not come with the Ford Ranger. The Ford Ranger is used as an affordable option mostly for light hauling and towing, that help the average working-man get through his day-to-day work. About the only thing the Ford Ranger has going for it is its low price within the class and low projected operating costs which is enough to help and not burden its occupants.

Yet on a more unimpressive note critics have not missed the Ford Ranger’s faults. Most of which being its unimpressive engines, and dated and uncomfortable design both inside and out.

Think this truck is right for you? As long as you can see past it’s faults and tune into it’s silver-yet-loyal lining perhaps the 2011 Ford Ranger could be of use to you.

Among the companies and workers that the UAW has helped Ford, Chrysler, and GM as well as their workers have been among them.

Even amidst all great products that have been put out by Ford that are displayed on both Beechmont Ford dealers lots, and on Cincinnati Ford dealer specials and all the recognition the company has, it still has not seemed to please its workers. The sub-cultured workers who also belong to the UAW have been opposing the freezing of entry-level wages and benefits, consolidation of skilled trades and no-strike clause in the agreement that is binding until 2015.

After Ford workers had discussed this problem with the UAW and steps they could take in reaching an agreement both with the company and the workers–yet they have not done so. Instead, they have invested their time in much lower-level class companies such as GM and Chrysler and instead negotiated deals with these near bankrupt sub-par companies. Yet could it be said that the hard-working, successful Ford working citizens deserve to be granted a partial break as opposed to throwing all of our remaining life-savers out to the companies already half-way drowning.

Ford has proven its worth. Has Chrysler and GM done so?

But wait–before you get ready to call your nearest dealer about one there are some unfortunate flaws about the Ford Explorer Sport Trac that seem important enough to be known. Such as, the similar price tag it shares with the Honda Ridgeline and Chevy Avalanche, which have both been known to be at about the same par level that the Ford Explorer Sport Trac is at. Even more so, the exterior design that people have said to either love or hate.

For the decision between the companies, the vehicle, and the right SUT, we will leave that to you, but there’s still nothing stopping you from going and taking one out for a test-drive!
